Arrival points:
*For our Arts & Sciences open days, if you are interested in Chemistry, Natural Sciences or Physics, please be aware that your subject talks and subject hub is located in Franklin-Wilkins Building. We recommend taking this into account when deciding which arrival point to go to.
Please include all details of your accessibility requirements on the booking form and a member of the team will be in touch to discuss arrangements.
We encourage all attendees to use public transport to attend an open day as there are very limited parking facilities near campus. If you have blue badge parking, please let us know on the booking form and a member of the team will be in touch.
If you are planning on attending one of our Arts & Sciences open days and are interested in Chemistry, Natural Sciences or Physics, please be aware that your subject talks and subject hub are located within Franklin-Wilkins Building (FWB), Green zone.
FWB is a 5 minute walk from Waterloo station and an 18 minute walk or 10 minute bus ride to Strand campus.
If you are planning on visiting FWB, please make sure you have factored this into your journey. If you are attending any talks at FWB, especially in the morning, you are welcome to arrive directly at FWB where staff and student ambassadors will greet you and provide a wrist band and brochure.
Before or after your talks at FWB, you are welcome to explore the other activities taking place there as well as activities and talks taking place in our Strand and Bush House buildings.
Once you’ve booked your admission ticket and any sessions you’d like to attend, you’ll receive a confirmation email with your QR code. Please bring this QR code with you on the day as this will be scanned on entry.
You will be able to select one guest as part of your initial booking onto campus as well as any sessions you want to attend. If you have not yet added your guest to your booking, you are able to do so via the ticket confirmation email.
If you are unable to book tickets for the talks you’re interested in, we still recommend arriving on the day and asking the staff at the lecture theatre if there is any on the day space due to cancelled tickets or no shows. If the lecture theatre is at maximum capacity, we recommend visiting the subject hubs and speaking to current students and lecturers to find out more about the courses directly.
Our student ambassadors will be present at each event, and they will be dressed in the red ambassador t-shirts. They will be more than happy to help find the information you are looking for and point you in the right direction.
You are welcome to walk around the entire campus during the event, but please be aware some teaching spaces will be closed to the public. To view specific facilities such as residences, the library and gym, you will need to book onto the tours taking place during the event.
If you are planning on attending one of our Health & Life Sciences open day and have booked a talk which is taking place in the Green zone, please be aware that it is a 5 minute walk from Guy's campus to Green 1. Please do take this into consideration when planning your journey, especially if you have booked a morning talk.
Before going to your talk, you will need to go to the arrival point where your ticket(s) will be scanned and you will be given a wrist band and brochure.
