We understand that students can face a wide range of financial pressures and concerns while studying. Our hardship funds are here to help eligible students who need extra financial support to continue their course at King’s.

The standard hardship funds are closed for the summer but we do have the King's Summer Hardship Fund which is open for applications. Please note, only students with an immediate need will be considered.

If you are a medical student in financial hardship you can also submit an application to the Dr Margaret Bond Medical Hardship Fund.

Our other hardship funds will re-open for applications on 14^th October.

During the academic year October 2024 – June 2025 we will have the following hardship funds available:

• King's Student Fund
• King's Hardship Fund
• King's Medical & Dental Hardship Fund
• International Hardship Fund
• School of Global Affairs Hardship Fund

King's Student Fund provides financial support to students who are:

• Home fee status
• In receipt of King's Living Bursary
• Undergraduate students

The King's Hardship Fund provides financial support to Home fee status students who are:

• Undergraduate students not in receipt of the King's Living Bursary
• Postgraduate students

The King's Medical & Dental Hardship Fund provides financial support for students on Medical and Dental programmes who are:

• Undergraduate students
• Home, EU or International

International Hardship Fund provides financial support to students who are:

• International or EU
• Undergraduate or Postgraduate students

To apply for this fund students must have made provision for their studies but have experienced an unforeseen change of circumstances.
