The 2025 Guardian University Guide highlights excellence of social science at King's
This new programme taught within the School of Politics & Economics will offer a unique approach to understanding politics, by blending domestic and international perspectives. The programme will cover a wide range of topics, including populism, elections, public policy, global finance and trade, inequality, environmental issues, and foreign policy, with students learning key skills in both quantitative and qualitative research methodology.
Taught by leading researchers in politics and international affairs, students will benefit from regional expertise including Europe, the Middle East, North and Sub-Saharan Africa, Latin America, East Asia, China, the United States, Turkey, and the Caribbean.
The analytical skills and specialist knowledge gained will provide important skills for future employment in a broad range of careers across finance, business, journalism and development, and be well placed to pursue careers in organisations such as NATO, the EU, and government agencies.
