The People Committee is a standing committee of Council and is responsible for

  • supporting the Council in the provision of oversight of the people and culture strategy approved by Council
  • monitoring progress on achieving agreed objectives delegated to the executive for implementation
  • providing advice and guidance to the senior executive as required.

The Committee’s work focuses on oversight of the development and implementation of People related Strategies, Equality, Diversity and Inclusion and Remuneration for all staff not covered by the remit of the Governance, Performance and Remuneration Committee.

Membership

  • Lan Tu, Interim Chair
  • Independent Member of Council (to be confirmed)
  • Post Graduate Research Student (to be confirmed)
  • Post-Doctoral Early Career Researcher (to be confirmed)
  • Four staff (senior academic, junior academic, professional - at least one to be a member of Council if possible, and a Head of Department. To be confirmed).

  • Lorraine Kelly, Director of Culture and Talent
  • President of KCLSU (or designate) – to be confirmed.
