Explore our careers resources tailored to online learners.
As an online learner at King’s, you can access a range of tailored careers support to help you at every stage of your career journey.
We support online learners to explore career options, develop their skills, search for jobs and opportunities, and prepare for applications and interviews. You can access online resources, virtual events and digital tools wherever you're studying, helping you engage with careers support in a way that fits around your remote study.
The careers support and resources on this page are for students completing a King’s programme fully online or through another institution in the UK or overseas.
As an online learner at King's, you have access to a wide range of digital careers tools and learning resources.
Our dedicated KEATS pages for online learners include a range of careers resources and tools that can help you:
If you are studying for a master’s programme, you can also access our online PGT micromodules on KEATS. These provide short, practical activities to help you recognise the value of your postgraduate experience and communicate it effectively to employers.
You can also work towards the Careers 360 Award, an online King’s Experience Award that supports you to reflect on your skills, experiences and career goals, and gain recognition for your development.
Careers events offer a valuable way for you to connect with employers, build your knowledge and explore opportunities, wherever you are based. Our events programme includes employer presentations, careers panels, skills workshops, masterclasses, networking sessions and international careers events. Many are delivered virtually, allowing you to take part online.
To find online sessions, visit the events section of King’s CareerConnect and use the 'Location Type' filter to select 'Virtual'.
You can also access recordings of previous events through our event recordings page on KEATS.
Finding opportunities that suit your location, availability and existing commitments can be especially important as an online learner.
You can use King’s CareerConnect to search for graduate jobs, part-time work, internships, placements and other opportunities. Use the location filters to find roles marked as 'Remote' or 'Working from Home', or to search within a particular country or region.
You can also use The Forage to complete self-paced virtual job simulations created by employers, helping you explore different roles and build experience flexibly alongside online learning.
Online networking allows you to develop your professional network, wherever you are based, so you can learn about different roles, hear from people working in areas that interest you and develop connections with King’s alumni and other professionals.
Through King’s Connect, you can contact King’s alumni for advice, insight and mentoring, helping you stay connected to the King’s community.
You can also use LinkedIn to connect with professionals in areas that interest you and develop your online professional presence. CareerSet’s LinkedIn Optimisation tool can help you review and strengthen your LinkedIn profile.
Our alumni career case studies provide further networking opportunities by showing the career paths that King’s graduates have taken, and how they have used their degree, skills and experience in their careers.
For further information and practical guidance on professional networks, visit our networking page on KEATS.
