Ethical investment

King's recognises the importance of investing our endowment ethically. In 2017, King's committed to full divestment from all fossil fuels by the end of 2022. We achieved this target in early 2021.

King's also does not invest in tobacco and armaments. In 2023, we reached the target to invest 40% of our endowment in investments with socially responsible benefits two years early.

These commitments are enshrined in our Ethical Investment Policy. To ensure transparency, our list of investments is published annually as an attachment to the Ethical Investment Policy. Investment policy and processes at King's are overseen by the Investment Sub-Committee, which includes a student member.
