In this online session, Oliver Austen will share how to get involved with community gardening projects, which bring people together through gardening and support physical and mental wellbeing. Community Gardens are particularly valuable in London, where many of us have limited access to outdoor green spaces.  Learn about how to get involved with King's community garden as well as how to get involved with projects near to you. We will also discuss biodiversity and how to get involved in a biodiversity project at King’s and the i-Naturalist App.

What you will learn

  • Learn about community gardens in London and how to find them and get involved.
  • Learn about the benefits of gardening for your health & wellbeing.
  • What is biodiversity and why is it important.
  • How to identify plants and animals and how to record your observations.
