Join us for an evening with award-winning journalist Carrie Gracie, as she launches her new book, Equal: A story of women, men and money.
Gracie, who was recently appointed as a Visiting Professor at the Global Institute for Women's Leadership, will be in conversation with our Chair, Julia Gillard, to discuss unequal pay and the forces that drive inequality across workplace cultures.
In January 2018, Gracie left her post as BBC China Editor in protest at unequal pay. In June 2018, she won an apology and pay parity from the BBC. She donated all her back pay to gender equality charity the Fawcett Society. The money now funds the Equal Pay Advice Service, a legal support service to help low-income women negotiate equal pay.
Our events are usually free, but we're making an exception in order to raise money for this vital initiative. That's why this event is being organised in partnership with Fawcett Society, and all proceeds will go towards the Equal Pay Advice Service.
Tickets are £12.50, or £10 if you're a Fawcett member. Visit their website to book your place.
