The Dental Alumni Weekend 2024 will take place on 1-2 March 2024. The two-day programme provides an important opportunity to meet with former members of staff and students as well as show-casing high calibre presentations in clinical dentistry from both internal and external speakers.

Please note this is a new format and you may need to amend your clinical diaries to join us on the Friday!

The theme of this year’s Alumni Weekend is “Managing Expectations.”

We are grateful to Straumann who are the main sponsors for the weekend and who are holding a Young ITI sponsor session on the morning of Friday 1 March in the Function room, on Floor 18.

The Dental Alumni Weekend two-day programme commences at 13:30 on Friday 1 March in the Robens Suite and concludes Saturday 2 March in the Tower Lecture Theatre in Guy’s Tower. This year’s programme includes the Keynote lectures in memory of Professor Rod Cawson and Professor Walter Herbert, this year given by Professor Tim Blackburn, and Dr Kavit Shah respectively, both alumni of KCL.

There will also be the opportunity to hear from our Executive Dean, Professor Michael Escudier on updates at the Faculty of Dentistry, Oral & Craniofacial Sciences and tours of clinical teaching facilities. Delegates to the Clinical Day will receive a certificate for 2.5 hours CPD on the Friday, and on the Saturday will receive certificates for 2.4 hours for the morning and 1 hour for the afternoon sessions.

The Dental Alumni Association will also be holding its Annual General Meeting to which all alumni are invited.

Lunch will again be hosted by our Executive Dean, providing guests with an opportunity to meet Professor Escudier, whilst networking with fellow alumni and staff.

For those unable to attend the meeting in person, the main sessions from Clinical Day, 2 March 24, will be streamed live. All registrants will also be able to access this online material at their leisure for up to 4 weeks after the event.
