About:
We are offering a workshop dedicated to enhancing your skills in EEG signal pre-processing and computation of functional networks.
Hosted on September 26th, from 11 AM to 4 PM (including breaks), the workshop will be guided by experienced postdoctoral researchers from the Department of Basic and Clinical Neuroscience (Dr Petroula Laiou and Dr Joe Davies). It will be conducted in person at the IoPPN.
What to expect:
Whether you are a beginner or have intermediate programming skills, this workshop is for you.
Gain hands-on experience in EEG pre-processing methods and learn how to compute functional networks using Python and MATLAB. The session will include practical exercises and insights into key resources essential to your EEG analyses.
Learning goals:
- Fundamentals of EEG pre-processing: gain a fundamental understanding of EEG data handling and pre-processing methods.
- Computing functional networks: develop the skills to derive functional networks from EEG data.
- Hands-on experience: learn to apply pre-processing methods and compute functional networks using Python and MATLAB through guided hands-on exercises.
- Knowledge of available resources: familiarise with relevant papers and code resources.
- Ongoing support: benefit from a follow-up session for questions and continued learning.
What you will get out of the session:
Participants will leave the workshop with a solid grasp of EEG pre-processing, equipped with practical skills and resources to apply to their research. An online follow-up session will be available for continuous learning and troubleshooting.
