After more than two years of waiting, the Centre for Mexican Studies, UNAM - UK, presents the twenty-fifth Film Festival of the National School of Cinematic Arts of the UNAM. This showcase represents a great diversity of visions and interpretations of reality, representative of the concerns of a new generation of filmmakers.

In these films there are mysterious mermaids, young lovers, unsatisfied desires, arrogant butterflies, repressed memories and paper boats dreamed of by wooden toys. Just as Godard stated that one should expect from a good film, each of these film proposals simultaneously gives us a vision of cinema and a vision of the world.

This exhibition is an invitation to participate in the process that began long ago with a character, a sound or an idea. Now it is up to the spectators to look back and complete the open circuit that arises in each of these films.

The film showcase will include 8 cycles - this event is cycle 3.

All the films will be in spanish with english subtitles.

At the age of 15 I left my home in Ñuu Savi, went out and traveled worlds other than mine. I began my training as a documentary filmmaker and, after that, the interest in learning the language my family speaks, since it was forbidden to me since childhood. Now that I return, my father has passed away; and with him his tongue. In this documentary I do a search for Tu'un Savi through its speakers.
