Brazilian voices on the road to COP26

Given the importance of Brazil's natural landscapes in regulating the planet's climate, this project captures the voices and critical perspectives of Brazilian society ahead of the next climate summit, COP26.

It aims to raise public awareness of climate diplomacy, energy, finance, forests, indigenous peoples, legislation and water – all of which are interconnected and directly related to the success of climate action at the summit.

Ten years on

The year 2020 marked the tenth anniversary of the King's Brazil Institute. Under its founder and first director, Professor Anthony Pereira, the Institute has established itself internationally as an academic point of reference for Brazilian Studies.

The 10-year report provides an overview of the Institute's activities between 2010 and 2020.

Engaging with our students

Through social, cultural and academic activities, the King's Brazilian Society aims to foster a Brazilian community within King’s. It caters to both Brazilian and foreign students looking to learn more about Brazil’s political and economic context, and celebrate its culture.

We work closely with the society to ensure all students have access to events involving high-profile guests, plus career development initiatives. This is because we want Brazilian students to feel connected to their culture and for non-Brazilian students to learn more about Brazil.
