Professor Claudia Cooper, University College London

Claudia Cooper described the codesign of NIDUS-professional, a six-session manualised training and support intervention for home care workers for people living with dementia. In response to the pandemic it was piloted as a group video-call intervention and successfully delivered in one agency. The intervention is now being trialled in a feasibility RCT across several agencies.

Dr Tamara Backhouse, University of East Anglia

This presentation reports findings from an interview study exploring home-care workers’ experiences of assisting people living with dementia with their personal care.
