Creative Writing workshop with poet Tolu Agbelusi exploring 'home' hosted by the King's Migration Research Group

How do you belong to a place that doesn’t see you?

Using poetry and creative writing, you are invited to unpack the concepts of home and belonging. We will explore the role language can play in deconstructing and challenging displacement, in a society that keeps asking: you have chosen Britain, but has it chosen you?

Tolu Agbelusi is a Nigerian British poet and multidisciplinary artist. A BBC Slam Finalist, she performs widely, was shortlisted for the 2018 White Review Poetry Prize and has been published nationally and internationally.

You will have the chance to display and perform your work in a free public showcase on the 5th April in The Exchange.

This workshop forms part of a season of events exploring the theme of ‘Home’ based on research in the Faculty of Social Science & Public Policy at King's College London.

Places are limited to 20
