Three years ago, King’s Business School started to investigate alternatives to the traditional Personal Tutoring model (in which personal tutors are all members of the academic faculty). Our key goals were to address concerns about student engagement with personal tutors and to alleviate the growing workload of teaching staff, given the continuing growth in student numbers.

Encouraged by the apparent success of new approaches being explored within the sector, King's Business School implemented a two-year pilot of a ‘Faculty Tutor’ model, which is now at the end of its first year.

In this webinar, you will find out what we have learned on our journey so far, including some wins and some pitfalls, our plans for the coming year, and the realisation that our original goals may not have been the right ones!
