Imaging Bites – The Nanoscopy Revolution: Unlocking Spatial Proteomics at Unprecedent Resolution

Hodgkin Building, Guy’s Campus, London

This Imaging Bites seminar will provide a deep dive into the Abbelight SAFe 360 3D single molecule localisation microscope (SMLM) used in applications such as STORM, PALM, PAINT. The system is available to use at the Microscopy Innovation Centre (MIC).

Spatial proteomics seeks to elucidate the distribution and function of proteins within complex biological systems at subcellular resolution. Recent advancements in bio-imaging technologies, spearheaded by the emergence of super-resolution microscopy, have revolutionised this field. Abbelight has significantly contributed to pushing the boundaries of this state-of-the-art approach by developing innovative tools. Our suite of solutions encompasses cutting-edge reagents for sample preparation, advanced imaging systems, and powerful analysis software, empowering researchers to unlock unprecedented levels of detail in spatial biology.

Join us for this 30-minute seminar, on the power of Nanoscopy, followed by an interactive Q&A and a complimentary lunch, offering a valuable opportunity to network with colleagues and peers in the imaging community. This event is open to all King's students and staff interested in imaging - it is free, but registration is required.

Guest Speaker: Dr. Benjamin Compans, Customer Success Manager – Abbelight

Demo: There will be a demo set-up in the Microscopy Innovation Centre right after the seminar for those interested in having a closer look at the Abbelight SAFe 360 system.

Moderator: Fadwa Joud, Associate Director, Innovation & Business Development, Imaging Core Facilities
