Fadwa Joud holds a PhD in Nanobiophotonics from Kastler Brossel Laboratory - École Normale Supérieure (Paris, France), and an MBA from the University of Cambridge, with a focus on innovation, strategy & technology management. She has extensive expertise in developing and deploying novel advanced optical imaging techniques, combined with strong leadership experience in research services creating and applying innovative tools, solutions and practices to support, facilitate and streamline biomedical research. Currently, Fadwa leads Innovation & Business Development for the Imaging Core Facilities (Microscopy Innovation Centre, Nikon Imaging Centre, and Centre for Ultrastructural Imaging) and the newly established Smart Trials Hub, in Research Platforms, part of the Research Management and Innovation Directorate at King's College London. Fadwa's focus is on expanding access to advanced imaging technologies through shared resources, open-source science, sustainable financial models, service innovation, and strategic collaborations and partnerships across sectors.
