Join us for this 30-minute seminar on advanced light-sheet microscopy, followed by an interactive Q&A and a complimentary lunch, offering a valuable opportunity to network with colleagues and peers in the imaging community. This event is open to all King's students and staff interested in imaging - it is free, but registration is required.
Speaker: Christopher Tsang, PhD, Sr. - Field Applications Scientist, LifeCanvas Technologies
This Imaging Bites seminar will explore LifeCanvas Technologies state-of-the-art instrumentation and methodologies for whole organ clearing, labelling, imaging, and analytical processing. This comprehensive, integrated workflow enables detailed cellular-resolution analysis of complex biological structures. The technologies facilitate the mapping of intricate networks such as the brain, resulting in profound insights into natural states and disease progression. Key innovations include SHIELD, which establishes a resilient tissue-hydrogel matrix preserving fluorescent proteins and essential biomolecules. SmartBatch+, utilising stochastic electrotransport and eFLASH technologies, achieve rapid and uniform labelling across entire organs. SmartSPIM, an advanced light sheet fluorescence microscope, delivers high-speed, high-resolution volumetric imaging through axial sweeping technology to ensure consistent axial resolution. MOSAIC provides a high-performance data storage solution for the extensive data generated by contemporary bioimaging systems. SmartAnalytics, a sophisticated software featuring machine learning algorithms, is optimised for terabyte-sized 3D datasets, enabling accurate cell detection and counts registered to the Allen Brain Atlas.
Join us for this Imaging Bites seminar that will detail how these advanced tools are transforming the scientific exploration of complex biological systems in three dimensions and how you can access them.
