Onda Solidária, an example of Brazilian social entrepreneurship achieving international recognition.

Onda Solidaria is an Anglo-Brazilian NGO, which is transforming and generating opportunities of many children and young people in Brazil: www.ondasolidaria.org.

In this talk, Ricardo Caçado, the founder of Onda Solidária will tell his history of social entrepreneur in Brazil.

Over the last decade, he has travelled to many international events in the US, Europe and other countries to present his projects. His endeavour, ‘Eco Vila Olímpica’ has been nominated to international awards, such as the Peace and Sports Awards.

Eco Vila Olimpica and Onda Esportiva are two of his sustainable and social projects that use sport as a tool to promote social inclusion to children and young people, giving them a better perspective for the future and positively contributing to the improvement of the environment in which they live.

In this talk he will discuss the challenges of social entrepreneurship in Brazil and share his vision on how to make these projects real.
