About the Speaker

Professor Matias Spektor is Professor of International Relations at the Fundação Getulio Vargas (FGV) in São Paulo. His research focuses on international security, nuclear policy, climate politics, and the role of the Global South in world order. He has held visiting appointments at Princeton, the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, the London School of Economics, the Council on Foreign Relations, and King’s College London. He holds a doctorate from Oxford.
