King’s Experts Series: Climate Change & Sustainability

Join us in-person on Thursday 30 May at 18.00 for our final King's Experts Series event of this academic year.

In a world experiencing widespread environmental degradation, there is an urgent and growing need for transformative solutions. The impact of the climate emergency is immense environmentally, economically and socially, affecting ecosystems, upheaving weather patterns and aggravating existing societal inequalities.

Our King’s academics have been conducting vital research, working to embed sustainable practices and principles of environmental stewardship, and working to understand the impact that the climate emergency has on society.

At this event, you will hear about the impacts that climate change and extreme weather patterns have on society and how businesses can be made sustainable, from King’s Centre for Sustainable Business.

We will be joined by the following speakers:

  • Professor Frans Berkhout (Chair) - Assistant Principal of King’s Climate & Sustainability; Professor of Environment, Society and Climate; former Executive Dean of the Faculty of Social Science & Public Policy
  • Dr George Adamson - Reader and Lecturer in Climate and Society, Faculty of Social Science & Public Policy; convenor of King’s Climate Research Hub; research in cultural interventions in climate change
  • Dr Catherine Tilley - Impact Director for Centre of Sustainable Business; Senior Lecturer in Business Ethics & Sustainability

After the talk, you are free to join us for a networking reception with canapes and refreshments.

Unable to join us in-person? Feel free to watch the livestream instead - you can register here.

Attendees are invited to pose questions on all topics related to the climate change and sustainability in this exclusive live webinar.
