Studies have shown that workplaces with more diversity benefit in creativity, innovation and openness, all of which are needed to address the complex problems of today and tomorrow. However, women currently make up only 12% of the current workforce within the field of engineering in the UK.

Our panel of experts will discuss the importance of engineering – how it shapes the environment around us and makes the world a better place. We will delve into the role of women in this field and King’s commitment to educating diverse, world-class engineers who are distinguished not just by their knowledge but by their wisdom, character, service ethic and global mindset.

We are honoured to be joined by exclusive speakers from across King’s in our webinar:

  • Professor Rosie Campbell – Director of the Global Institute for Women’s Leadership and Professor of Politics
  • Professor Barbara Shollock – Head of Department of Engineering
  • Professor Bashir M. Al-Hashimi CBE FREng – Executive Dean, Faculty of Natural, Mathematical & Engineering Sciences

We are looking forward to delving into this webinar with the Department of Engineering and the Global Institute for Women’s Leadership. Your details will be passed onto the Alumni Office, who will hold your details to personalise your supporter experience.
