We’re so excited to be visiting Boston for the first time since 2019, and it would be great to see you at our flagship alumni event at the Harvard Club of Boston. We hope that you will join us in reconnecting with King's and your fellow alumni on Friday May 20 at 18.30.
King’s new President and Principal, Professor Shitij Kapur will be joining us for the first time to share the latest news from King’s, including highlights about the world-changing impact of King’s research and our international outreach.
We are very excited to announce that Rachel Lukas will be joining us on the evening. Rachel is a humanitarian and international development professional with more than 10 years of experience in 15 countries across 5 continents, and is currently the COO of TerraMica, an NGO that works to alleviate extreme poverty among coffee-farming families through generational behaviour change and infrastructure interventions.
Rachel will be joining us in conversation with local alumna, and KCL Boston Committee member, Raka-Larissa Basu. Raka will be sharing her experiences of her time at King’s and share some insight into her current role at AstraZeneca.
Rachel graduated from King’s College London in 2013 with her MA in Intelligence and International Security, after focusing her studies on counterterrorism strategies in North Africa. In 2021, she completed her MBA at the University of Cambridge with a concentration on social impact in global business. Her academic and professional experiences have focused on the development of sustainable aid and security at an international level.
