You will learn about some traditional techniques used in creating Hangeul (Korean alphabet) calligraphy visual art, instructed by a specialist professional Korean calligraphy teacher. You will be shown how to correctly hold a brush to draw Korean alphabet characters and will be given the chance to learn the fundamental brushstrokes used in Korean calligraphy. You will be taught how to write your name in traditional Hangeul style and you can take home the script as a souvenir.

This free workshop is co-organised by the Language Centre, King's College London, and is supported by the Korean Cultural Centre, UK. This workshop is suitable for students of all levels, including those with no prior knowledge of Korean, calligraphy, or art!
