Learn to make a dog toy for rescue dogs - 15 March 2023

Please note that this event has passed.

This event has been cancelled due to staff unavailability. Apologies for any inconvenience.

Join Annicka Ancliff for this workshop to learn how to make a dog toy out of unwanted t-shirts. Making homemade dog toys is a great DIY craft project for humans, and a fantastic and sustainable way to provide your dog with enrichment and fun.

You will need:

  • Unwanted clothes that are too worn to be donated elsewhere.

No experience needed! Making the toys involves cutting and tying the materials. For more information or to get practicing, you can find out more here.

The toys made during this workshop will be donated to Battersea Dogs and Cats Home. The charity started in 1860 to help cats and dogs across London. They now have 5 different locations across the UK. They take in animals all over the country and need all the support they can get.

This session will be led by Annicka Ancliff, Faculty Research Support Administrator and Sustainability Champion at the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology & Neuroscience. Annicka loves animals especially dogs and cats and volunteers to help animals without homes.
