Mathematical Colloquium: Prof. Mihaela van der Schaar

The Department of Mathematics is hosting a series of colloquia, open for all to attend. On 26 September 2025, Prof. Mihaela van der Schaar from the University of Cambridge will give a talk.
Registration:
This talk will take place in person at King's College London in the Bush House Lecture Theatre 2, BH(S)4.04. It will be streamed online via Microsoft Teams. About the Speaker:
Prof. Mihaela van der Schaar is the John Humphrey Plummer Professor of Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, and Medicine at the University of Cambridge. She leads the van der Schaar Lab and founded the Cambridge Centre for AI in Medicine, where her team develops new AI tools for healthcare. Her background spans both academia and industry: she has worked on video streaming, networks, and now focuses on medical applications of AI. She is a Fellow of the Royal Society and the IEEE, and has received many awards for her contributions. She is also very active in public engagement, giving many recent talks to broad audiences.
