Are you passionate about making a difference in health and care through research? The NIHR INSIGHT Programme South London aims to make research accessible and engaging for students and health and care professionals, debunking the myth that research is too hard or difficult to embed in day-to-day practice.

The programme is offering 30 fully funded scholarships to undertake a master by research from one of the 19 courses offered across our four university partners in South London - King's College London, London South Bank University, Kingston University and City St George's University of London. The scholarships will fund home tuition fees and a stipend (used for living expenses or salary contribution for clinical/practice release). See the NIHR INSIGHT Research Masters Studentship page for further award details.

The programme is now open for applications for the 2026/27 academic year. Join the INSIGHT Programme Directors, Prof Catherine Evans and Prof Adele Stewart-Lord, to find out about the INSIGHT Research Master's studentships.

This webinar will:

  1. Introduce the NIHR INSIGHT Programme South London to inspire professionals and students in health and care to pursue research careers
  2. Detail what an NIHR INSIGHT scholarship offers, including eligibility criteria and the funding available
  3. Explain how to apply for a scholarship, including the process and timeline
  4. Showcase the 19 master programmes available across the four university partners, and how to apply for your chosen course
  5. Provide information for managers about the INSIGHT scholarships, including staff release, timeline and funding

Find out more about the INSIGHT Programme and how it’s inspiring the next generation of health and care researchers.
