Dr Hannah Walters and team started research into the relationship between social care regulation, care workers’ terms and conditions of employment, and care quality, in early December 2019.

At that time, they could not have anticipated the impact Covid-19 would have on the care sector. As the virus began its international advance, they found themselves perfectly placed to report on what was happening in social care – both to the workers, and people using care and support services – during these unprecedented times.

This talk will unpack some of the key findings and reflect on the team’s experiences of researching social care during the crisis.

About the speaker
