At this webinar three members of the research team will present and discuss the emerging messages from the study Opening the ‘too difficult box’: strengthening Adult Safeguarding responses to homelessness and self-neglect.

Jess Harris, Research Fellow at King’s College London, and Stan Burridge, peer-researcher and Director of Expert Focus, will present the findings from their interviews. Bruno Ornelas, safeguarding consultant and Head of Homelessness at Concrete, Stoke, will reflect on the findings from an expert practitioner perspective.

The event, which takes place on MS Teams only, is part of our Homelessness Series.

Over 300 people attended this meeting. Research Fellow Jess Harris discussed emerging findings from our study on this topic, which is funded by the NIHR School for Social Care Research. Stan Burridge spoke about the 'lived experience' perspective reflected in the findings (see the forthcoming event focusing specifically on this), and Bruno Ornelas led a lively discussion.

Many thanks to all who attended, making this a great instance of knowledge sharing, in respect of the research findings, but also between practitioners.

The study comes to an end in March 2023, with a final report in preparation.
