The Consulate General of Brazil in London, in partnership with the Brazil Institute of King's College London, will hold a virtual seminar on the Brazilian community in the United Kingdom, with the support of the Conselho de Cidadania do Reino Unido (CCRU), the Brazilian Chamber of Commerce in Great Britain, Casa do Brasil and Grupo Mulheres do Brasil - London.

The event will take place on October 29, starting at 2 pm, and will be broadcast on the Consulate General's Facebook and YouTube.

The seminar aims at discussing various aspects of Brazilian migration to this country, based on the conclusions of the research carried out by Dr. Yara Evans, from Imperial College and King's College, on the profile of the Brazilian community in the United Kingdom.

The study, carried out with the support of the Consulate and whose final report will be presented during the seminar, also dealt with other important issues for a better understanding of our community, such as: electoral participation, Citizenship Council (CCRU), Portuguese as a heritage language, entrepreneurship, domestic violence, labor market, among others.

In this context, academics, researchers and community leaders will exchange views on the outlook of the Brazilian presence in the United Kingdom, besides addressing the history of the migratory process and current challenges in areas such as business, associativism, scientific diaspora, education and culture.
