We are delighted to announce that we are starting a new online seminar series titled ‘Fire in Practice - Conversations with Wildfire Practitioners’.
The Leverhulme Wildfires Fire in Practice webinars explore developments and challenges in the ‘real world’ of wildfire and landscape fires, reflecting on the role and opportunities of research in addressing the issues faced. Our speakers are invited from a range of sectors including fire & rescue services, natural resource managers, the insurance industry, meteorological organisations, and more, from both the UK and internationally. The webinars will typically be held on the last Tuesday of the month, every other month, at 16:00-17:00 UK-time. Guest presentations will last 30-40mins, with the remaining time available for Q&A and discussion. The webinars are free and open to all interested audiences, and registration (via Eventbrite) for each webinar is required in advance.
