The King's Sustainability Team invites you to the second seminar of the Sustainability Seminar Series on 25th November, 11:00 to 12:45. We are delighted to host Dr Joachim Aufderheide from the King’s Philosophy Department who will focus on climate, perception framing, and culture. Throughout his talk, he will help us think critically about the concept of sustainability, understand how different disciplines tend towards different conceptions of sustainability, and discuss moral issues around sustainability.

King’s alumni and KEATS TakeAction Team member Rosa Roe Garcia will share her perspective and discuss the topics of greenwashing, misinformation, and strategies used by companies or campaigns to influence our perception of the climate crisis. She studied philosophy and wrote her dissertation on this topic.

The 45-minute lecture will be followed by a Q&A and break-out room discussions.

This seminar is part of a series which runs monthly between October ‘21 and June ’22 covering some of the biggest topics in sustainability. If you would like to stay in the loop about upcoming seminars, please sign up here. These seminars are linked to the KEATS Sustainability module which we are piloting this year. You can enrol on the module here.
