The Children’s Palliative Care Outcome Scale (C-POS) study: findings and innovations

Lucy Coombes and Dr Debbie Braybrook will present the research studies completed so far for the development of the UK Children’s Palliative Outcome Scale. Results of one of the largest studies exploring symptoms, concerns and care priorities of children with a range of life-limiting conditions from multiple stakeholder perspectives will be presented: 106 qualitative interviews, including 39 children and young people. In addition, results of a Delphi survey to inform items to be included in C-POS and results of cognitive testing of the measure will be presented. They will highlight lessons about engaging children with life-limiting conditions in research, and patient and public involvement.
