The Chinese Communist Youth League is the largest youth political organization in the world with over 80 million members, yet it remains largely unexamined. Former President Hu Jintao believed the League could play a bigger role in winning the hearts and minds of the Chinese youth. This original investigation explores how the League implemented Hu's mandate and exposes the contradictory nature of some of its campaigns.
