This event will educate KCL students and staff on migrant rights, and examine the links between climate change and migration.

This event will discuss why fighting for migrant rights is integral to sustainability and why the hostile environment is detrimental to climate justice.

We'll look at the importance of making our fight for sustainability more inclusive as the number of climate refugees applying for asylum is on the rise.

Panellists:

Benali Hamdache

My name is Benali Hamdache and I'm the Green Party's spokesperson on migrants and refugee support. I've proudly campaigned on a variety of topics, from LGBTIQA+ rights and staying in the EU to refugee rights. I'm standing for election for Islington Council in Highbury at the next local elections. At the last London Assembly elections I was less than 2% away from being elected as the 4th Green Assembly Member.
