Join the EcoSoc in planting 250 trees at Honour Oak Park as part of the Big Climate Fightback.

On Saturday the 26th of March, the EcoSoc will be planting 250 trees at Honor Oak Park as part of the Big Climate Fightback.

The Big Climate Fightback is an initiative run by the Woodland Trust to try and plant 50 million trees in the UK by the end of 2025, so by planting these trees you are not only doing your bit for the environment, but joining a community of planters across the country doing the same. For more information visit: https://www.woodlandtrust.org.uk/protecting-trees-and-woods/campaign-with-us/big-climate-fightback/

The 250 trees will be a mixture of hawthorn, blackthorn, hazel, crab apple, dogwood, silver birch, rowan, wild cherry and field maple, and have been provided by Students for Trees and the Woodland Trust. Students for Trees is a student run organisation that aims to promote engagement with woodlands among fellow students. For more information visit: https://www.studentsfortrees.uk

Everything from the trees to the tools will be provided, so simply bring a water bottle and clothing you do not mind getting muddy and help make London greener.
