Suman Khatri - Speaker biography

My name is Suman Khatri and I have been a mountain guide for the last 20 years, guiding through the high Himalayas in Nepal. I currently live in a small town called Bhaktapur with my family. I started my career as a porter right after school. It was a different and challenging time for the trekking industry in Nepal compared to today. Over the years, I tackled challenges and grew from a porter to a successful guide and have tried to leave an inspiring trail for others to follow. It is my passion to meet people from all around the world and show them around my beautiful country and I always feel excited to speak about the culture, beliefs, and practices of the people
