Imagine a world where children can't dream of becoming pilots, judges, accountants, builders... not because of who they are, but because of WHAT they are.

Humans.

In this dystopian future, the Labour Ban Act prevents humans from doing work that can be done autonomously by machines, for "our own good".

But what happens when humans turn the tables on machines?

Join Ali Hossaini, Luca Viganò, Oya Celiktutan and Shama Rashman as they discuss what could happen in a future where machines do all the work, and what it might mean if humans fought back.

The panel discussion will be loosely based around Ali and Luca's short film, The First, which a coproduction of UKRI TAS Hub, RUSI and National Gallery X. It was produced as a keynote for Trusting Machines?, a conference on how to develop trustworthy AI.

Attendees are encouraged to watch the film before the panel.
