Cold Storage Management, Standard Operating Procedures

Procedures for research staff on management of cold storage equipment (liquid nitrogen and residential cold storage are not included). The document covers instructions on sample management, risk assessment, procurement, maintenance, and facilities. Any refurbishment or construction of freezer spaces should consult this policy. A pro forma on emergency actions to take in the case of equipment breakdown are appended.
