Strategy, Integrity & Governance and REF
Research is core to King’s, what we do, what we care about and how we educate. It is how we channel our creativity to further knowledge and understanding, challenge convention and deliver impact.
Our vision is to deliver research to inform and innovate. By providing the best environment, support and networks for our community, from postgraduate research students to senior academics, we will deliver research excellence.
King's Research Strategy
Launched in December 2016, King’s Research Strategy sets out our vision to better enable informative and innovative research. By delivering world-leading and outward-looking research focused on meeting societal need, King’s will make the world a better place.
The Research Strategy has been designed to enable and complement the work of our faculties. Most importantly, it has been developed around our people – our researchers, current and future, our professional services staff and our students. The strategy is designed to provide the support, development, infrastructure and environment they need to succeed.
The Research Strategy is supplemented with an action plan which details the specific objectives, the measures of success and the accountability for delivery (internal only).

King's Strategic Vision 2029
Created by colleagues, students, alumni and friends, our vision shapes our combined ambitions in all areas of university life – many of which we’re already on the way to achieving – and takes us to our 200th anniversary. The Strategic Vision is the long-term narrative that guides all activities at King’s. It is enduring, ambitious and inspiring and sets the tone for what we do and how we do it.
This vision identifies five strategic priorities for King’s. Underpinning these is a 3–5 year thematic strategy, of which the Research Strategy is one. These strategies detail what we will do (and what we will not do) and at a high level how we will do it. Click here to discover King's Strategic Vision 2029.
Integrity & Governance
