Call for Papers: Workshop on Multilingual Language Acquisition, Processing and Use 2022

The Call for Papers for the Workshop on “Multilingual Language Acquisition, Processing and Use (L3 workshop)” is now open. The deadline to submit abstracts is 18 March 2022, and applicants will receive feedback by early May.

Organised by the School of Education, Communication and Society (ECS) at King’s College London, the L3 Workshop will take place in London on 22-23 October 2022.

Many researchers from the ECS Centre for Language, Discourse and Communication study language acquisition and teaching in multilingual contexts. In hosting this event, they will bring together researchers from around the world who conduct cutting-edge research in the field of multilingual language acquisition, processing and use.

The Call for Papers, opened until 18 March 2022, welcomes both empirical and epistemological papers on multilingual language acquisition, from a variety of perspectives.

Papers will cover areas of early trilingualism, the acquisition of L3 phonology, L3 morphosyntax, L3 semantics, language use in multilingual contexts, attitudes towards multilingualism, neurolinguistic takes on multilingualism, and more.

This workshop is the seventh in a series of successful meetings that took place in Stockholm (January 2009), Iowa City (June 2010), Vitoria-Gasteiz (May 2012), Tromsø (March 2015), Poznań (May 2017) and Konstanz (May 2019).
