Douglas Bennett House, on Windsor Walk, is now to be redeveloped to create spaces with mental health and its treatment in mind.

Douglas Bennett House, on Windsor Walk, is now to be redeveloped to house acute adult inpatient services, including four specialist wards and a psychiatric intensive care unit; all currently based in Landor Road.

The new design has been developed by architects who specialise in creating spaces with mental health and its treatment in mind. They have taken on board years of input from patients, staff, carers and regulators.

CTI is representative of SLaM Digital on the DBH Design Board and is providing all of the Digital innovation encompassed in the design of the new building.

By working closely with Clinical Leads of the various departments moving into the building. CTI is analysing and translating the workflow specific requirements of the Clinicians into Digital infrastructure templates which are then encompassed into the buildings design by the Architects. This will ensure that the functionality of the new build meets the expectations of the Clinicians to complete their service once occupation begins.

Through its Team, the CTI has a unique depth of knowledge and skill-sets covering, new build design, planning and implementation of multimillion pound investments, digital transformations, and infrastructure planning and implementations together with its specialist Partnership working and Stakeholder Management skill-set CTI is ideally placed to assist in the delivery of the new Douglas Bennett House.

The redeveloped Douglas Bennett House will house most of the Lambeth Hospital wards and services, following extensive consultations with staff, commissioners and local people. CAMHS inpatient and outpatient services will move into the new Pears Maudsley Centre for Children and Young People.
