Emeritus Professor Alice Rogers Awarded OBE
Professor Alice Rogers, Emeritus Professor of Mathematics and a Governor of the King's College London Mathematics School, was awarded an OBE this year for services to mathematics education and higher education. A former Head of the Department of Mathematics at King's, more recently she has been involved in national education policy as a member of the Advisory Committee on Mathematics Education.
Professor Rogers first joined Department in 1983 as a Research Associate and from 1984-1989 she held an Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC) Advanced Research Fellowship and from 1989-1994 a Royal Society University Research Fellowship. From 1994 she was, in turn, lecturer, reader and professor of mathematics.
