The award, established by the International Network of Research Management Societies (INORMS) in 2018, celebrates individuals who drive innovation and excellence in research management.

Eva has over 20 years of experience in research management, having worked for the European Commission in Brussels before leading the Grants Management Office at Karolinska Institute in Sweden and then joining King’s College London in 2018.

Eva has been actively involved in NCURA (National Council of University Research Administrators) since 2010, serving twice as Chair of NCURA’s International Region. Last August, Eva received the prestigious designation of NCURA Distinguished Educator, recognising exceptional contributions through the ideation, creation, and delivery of NCURA’s national/global Research Administration educational offerings.

Between 2010 and 2016, Eva was the Swedish delegate on the Research and Innovation planning group of the Nordic Association of University Administrators (NUAS). During her time at Karolinska Institute, she was also involved in two EU-funded projects focused on building research support capacity in Africa and Asia.

I am absolutely delighted for Eva to get this recognition of her work. At King's, she has been instrumental in driving forward our research culture and innovation to ensure teams across King's are working together to produce interdisciplinary research that creates impact.

Jeremy Cook, Senior-Vice-President (Operations) and Chief Operating Officer

Many congratulations to Eva, it is such wonderful news. Eva has contributed so much to national and international research management and this award reflects the high esteem held by her colleagues around the world and by us at King’s.

Bryony Wakefield, Executive Director, Research Management & Innovation.

The INORMS Award for Excellence in Research Management Leadership 2025 acknowledges Eva’s exceptional leadership and contributions to the global research management community and was presented at the INORMS Congress in Madrid on Wednesday 7 May.
