On Friday 17 March, King's Careers & Employability welcomed delegates from five countries - Belgium, Canada, Italy, Japan and the United States to explore our careers provision and initiatives in Bush House.

Alongside a tour of the Strand Careers Centre, delegates were informed about our work embedding employability into programme review and approval processes, our new Work-based Learning unit and King's Edge - a hub for extra-curricular at the institution.

The meeting also provided opportunity to deepen our international connections and build intelligence on key labour markets as part of our careers & employability strategic ambitions to support international students studying at the institution.

The visit formed part of the seventh annual Global Career Services Summit. Taking place in London, this year's Summit welcomed over 100 leaders of careers teams from universities in over 15 countries including the United States, South Africa, Germany, UAE, Canada and Ireland alongside thought leaders and global employers.

Hosted at the University of London's Senate House by The Careers Group, the summit focused on important current and future issues that impact careers centers and university recruiting of early careers talent.

The next Summit will be held in Washington D.C. in spring 2024.

It's been a pleasure to welcome leaders of careers teams from across the world to explore our work and provision at King's - and a reminder of the sector leading delivery King's Careers & Employability continues to develop supporting our students, alumni and researchers.
