Homelessness radical safeguarding toolkit - an introduction

Gill Taylor spoke at the Unit's Homelessness series

NIHR circles

Around 240 participants joined an HSCWRU homelessness webinar led by Gill Taylor for a preview of the Homelessness Radical Safeguarding Toolkit prior to its launch at the end of January. The event included a conversation with Ellie Atkins, homelessness social worker team and safeguarding lead, and one of the reviewers of the Toolkit, and a rich discussion with participants.

Gill's slides are available.

Responses included reflections from across adult social care, health and homelessness practice perspectives. Participants thanked the speakers for ‘an incredibly interesting and inspiring session today, gave me lots to think about’ with many focusing on the action it would prompt, including: ‘It made me reflect on practice and I can share learning’ and ‘I will take this learning into our safeguarding partnership’.

Next time
