The weekly political magazine, New Statesman, held its first Future of Healthcare Conference today in London. Illustrating the mutual reliance of health and social care systems, the conference included with a panel discussion on the Social Care Economy. Unit Director Jill Manthorpe, together with Paula Head from Roche and Councillor Neil Nerva from London Borough of Brent, discussed the need for workforce planning, the complexities of any means testing systems and the ‘care group’.
