Research Fellow Caroline Norrie attended a new NIHR forum for sharing PPIE wisdom from policy research units

Caroline Norrie attended the NIHR Policy Research Units' (PRU) patient and public involvement and engagement (PPIE) leaders' event today. This was the first meeting of a new forum for PRU PPIE leads to share information and their approaches to PPIE. The meeting was chaired by Oonagh McGee, Policy Research Unit Manager, NIHR Policy Research Unit in Behavioural Science at Newcastle University. The group discussed challenges and successes as well as their Units' plans. 

As well as being involved in PPIE at the NIHR Policy Research Unit in Health and Social Care Workforce, Caroline leads a study on gambling-related harms. She also works one day a week as an NIHR, Research Design Service advisor.

The NIHR Policy Research Unit in Health and Social Care Workforce is part of the Policy Institute at King’s, within the Faculty of Social Science & Public Policy. The Chair of the Unit's PPIE Advisory Group is Valerie Lipman.
