a picture of Igor Filatotchev

Professor Igor Filatotchev has been elected a Fellow of the Academy of International Business (AIB), one of the largest global communities of scholars working in the management and international business studies field. The AIB Fellows are a select group of distinguished scholars who have been recognized for their outstanding contributions to the association and the international business field as a whole.

Professor Filatotchev’s Fellowship recognises his contribution to the understanding of corporate governance and businesses’ strategic decision-making around internationalisation. He has published more than 150 academic papers in the fields of comparative corporate governance and global strategy including publications in leading academic journals such as the Academy of Management Journal, the Strategic Management Journal, the Journal of International Business Studies, Organization Science and the Journal of Management.

Professor Filatotchev will be one of three AIB Fellows at King’s Business School, alongside Keith Brouthers, Professor of Business Strategy and Dana Minbaeva, Professor of Human Resource Management.

I am delighted that Professor Filatotchev has received this prestigious accolade. It recognises his very significant contribution to our understanding of the factors that affect decision-making at the very top of international businesses. He is now one of three Academy of International Business Fellows at King’s Business School, a sign of our growing influence in the relatively short space of time that we have been a fully rounded business school– Professor Stephen Bach, Executive Dean, King's Business School
