Prof Jill Manthorpe, Director of the NIHR Health & Social Care Workforce Research Unit at the Policy Institute, was invited to present a seminar today at Hong Kong University on research impact to a group of 20 attendees from higher education and funders. The seminar offered reflections on the research quality and impact process from the UK perspective in the context of Hong Kong's own adoption of a similar system of research assessment. Jill presented messages distilled from the UK's previous experiences and offered some suggestions about possible developments.
